Doctoral research studentship: oral learner corpora

The University of Savoie (France) invites applications for a 3-year
doctoral research position to work on the compilation and analysis of an
oral corpus of learner English, beginning in September 2006, as part of a
team working on a multilingual spoken L2 corpus (English, French, Italian).
Candidates must be under 25 and have obtained, or be about to obtain, a
master’s degree in one of the countries belonging to the European Higher
Education Area. Applicants should have a background in Second Language
Acquisition and/or corpus linguistics, and have a good command of written
and spoken French. The successful candidate will be expected to enrol on
the doctoral programme at the University of Savoie, which is situated in SE
France, between Lyon, Geneva and Turin. The research position is financed
by the French Ministry of Education, with a monthly stipend of 1.410,33 €.
No tuition fees are charged for the doctoral programme.
