Assistant Professor (Computational Linguistics)

The Institute of Computational Linguistics at the Faculty of Arts of the
University of Zurich, Switzerland, invites applications for a position in
computational linguistics at the Assistant Professor level (non-tenured
tracked), 3 years, renewable to 6 years, to be filled by March 1, 2007.
Teaching load: 4 hours/week.

Candidates should have a PhD and demonstrate exceptional research
commitment and teaching ability. Candidates with a background in
computational semantics are especially encouraged to apply. Other possible
areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, syntax parsing,
discourse processing and text mining. Experience in industrial
collaborations is highly desired, as are project management skills, in
particular in an international setting.The teaching language is German or
English. A working knowledge of German is, in any case, required.
