Flash Designer/Developer
Time allocation: Full time
Division/Program: Language Testing Division
Salary: $38,000 to $51,000 depending upon qualifications
Position Available: Immediately
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The successful candidate will work as part of a project team doing research and test development in the area of science testing for grades 4-12 English language learners. He or she will:
*Develop Macromedia Flash based animations and graphics according to specifications
*Create interactions using ActionScripting
*Assist in modifying/applying Flash templates
*Research e-learning and e-testing applications
*Use Photoshop to create and modify graphics and pictures
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Professional certification in Multimedia Flash or Bachelors degree in relevant field (such as computer graphics, Web design, etc.).
Experience and Competencies:
Required:
*2-4 years relevant experience with multimedia based applications or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
*Excellent oral and written communications skills in English
*Excellent problem solving skills
*Ability to work effectively in a team environment
*Experience with conducting online research
Desirable:
*3-D modeling skills
*Experience in designing and/or developing e-Learning applications
*Experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Office 2007 programs, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, SoundForge, and online learning management systems (LMS)
*Experience with Web technologies including HTML and ASP
*Experience with educational and testing technology
*Working knowledge of second language
