Job descriptionPart of the IBM Clobal Technology Services team, this is an
opportunity to work with a high performing team supporting a vast AIX and
Linux infrastructure which serves all of IBM's websites in EMEA.

The responsibilities of the AIX Sys Admin will include:

To maintain the availability of the AIX/Linux servers and services.
Upgrade and patch all servers as required by corporate standards.
The installation, configuration and support of middleware such as Domino,
Websphere, DB2 and MQ.
Work with customers and application development teams to resolve
application issues.
Out of hours support for internal customers

Desired experienceAIX and/or Linux Experience
Experience in the web hosting arena, in particlar middleware skills (DB2,
MQ, WebSphere) would be a distinct advantage
Experience with Networking, Shell or Perl scripting, Java,
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Highly developed and demonstrable customer facing skills, as well as the
proven ability to work as part of a team
Excellent analytical and problem determination skills
Self Starter
Fluent English

Required skills
AIX and/or Linux Experience - 3
Middleware: DB2, MQ, WebSphere Application
Networking, Shell or Perl scripting, Java, a good understanding
English: Fluent


Degree Bachelors Degree/Equivalent Experience

Major Information Technology


Years of experience in job function 0 to 2 years

Additional informationPlease note that this is a graduate position with
IBM Ireland.
You will need to have a valid passport and work permit if applicable. You
