Job Summary
Research Intern, Nepomuk Project
DERI- The Digital Enterprise Research Institute, at Galway Ireland is offering a 6 months research internship. He/she will join the SMILE group and contribute to the Nepomuk project.
Requirements:
- 3rd/4th year undergraduate, in Computer Science or Computational Linguistics or equivalent qualifications in related field. Postgraduates Researchers with equivalent experience who are currently registered at the Ph.D. or Masters level are also welcome to apply.
- Strong programming skills, including Java
- Good communication skills.
- Coursework in artificial intelligence, data structures and algorithms,
Software engineering, and/or Natural Language Processing and/or Semantic Web
Technologies
Desired:.
- Knowledge of Natural Language Engineering and/or Knowledge Engineering and/or Information Extraction and/or Semi-automatic Semantic Annotation.
- Interest in Natural Language Generation
- Knowledge of XML, RDF, XSLT.
Start date: July 2007
Duration: 6 months
Remuneration: Tax free stipend of up to 1,000- or more per month (at
Supervisor's discretion) depending on qualifications and experience.
