The Dialogue Systems Group
(http://it.e-technik.uni-ulm.de/World/Research.DS/) in the Faculty of
Engineering and Computer Sciences, University of Ulm is seeking an
international researcher at MSc level to work on aspects of Spoken
Language Dialogue Systems Development. The research topic will fit into
the scientific context of the group (including Intelligent, Adaptive and
Proactive Spoken Language Dialogue Interaction, Semantic Analysis and
Dialogue Modelling and Acoustic Speech Signal Preprocessing and Speech
Recognition) but will be adapted to the areas of interest of the candidate.
Perspective: PhD Thesis.
Requirements: The position is open to Non-EU nationals only. Good
programming skills in C, C++, Perl, VoiceXML, Java, JavaScript and
experience with Unix/Linux are highly desirable; expertise in speech and
dialogue technologies would also be appreciated.
The appointment (on a grant-basis, co-financed by the Dialogue Systems
Group and the German Academic Exchange Service - DAAD) has an initial
fixed duration of 24 months, with an opportunity for continuation.
