The Department of Linguistics at Simon Fraser University is accepting
applications for a tenure-track position starting September 1, 2008. The
appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor rank. This position is
subject to approval by the University Board of Governors and final
budgetary authorization.
The successful applicant will bring a specialization in theoretical
phonology. The individual will teach phonology at both undergraduate and
graduate levels, as well as courses in general linguistics, and is expected
to undertake graduate student supervision.
Candidates should hold a PhD in linguistics with specialization in
phonology and be able to demonstrate teaching ability.
