The Dialogue Systems Group (www.dialogue-systems.de) in the Faculty of
Engineering and Computer Sciences, Ulm University is seeking several
Researchers at Diploma/MSc level to work on flexible and adaptive
spoken language dialogue modelling for cognitive technical
systems. Such next generation interactive and perceptive systems
account for individuality, adaptiveness, availability,
co-operativeness and trust.
The work will be integrated into the recently created Transregional
Collaborative Research Centre SFB/TRR 62 "Companion-Technology for
Cognitive Technical Systems" funded by the German Research Foundation
(DFG). This intersdisciplinary centre is coordinated by Ulm
University, Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg and the
Leibniz-Institut für Neurobiologie Magdeburg.
Perspective of the announced positions: PhD Thesis.
Requirements: Good programming skills in VoiceXML, Java, JavaScript
and experience with Unix/Linux are highly desirable; expertise in
speech and dialogue technologies would also be appreciated.
The appointments (0,5 TVL) have a fixed duration of a maximum of 36
months and is expected to start early 2009.
