Faculty of Computer Science & Technology
Vacancy Reference No: NR03246 Salary: £33,779-£42,791
Applications are invited for one University Lectureship or Senior Lectureship
in the Natural Language and Information Processing Research Group in the
Computer Laboratory. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the

Candidates should have an outstanding record of research in an area that
overlaps or complements the interests of current members of the Natural
Language and Information Processing Group. Preference will be given to
candidates whose research relates to broad coverage text processing.
Group boundaries are very flexible and the successful candidate will be

`Computing for the Future of the Planet'. The Laboratory provides an
environment in which engagement between theoretical and practical aspects of
Computer Science, and with industry, is encouraged.
The person appointed will be expected to contribute to the teaching of the
M.Phil in Computer Speech, Text and Internet Processing as well as to
