The Ohio State University Department of Linguistics seeks to fill a 12
month position as Visiting Assistant Professor. The successful
candidate must be able to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in
Computational Linguistics and General Linguistics. The teaching load
is five courses, spread over three 10-week quarters. The appointment
will be effective Fall quarter 2008. Candidates are expected to have
the PhD in hand at the time of the appointment.

The candidate is encouraged to participate in discussion groups and other
activities in the department, and to become involved in collaborative
projects with one or more of the strong research groups in the department
or the university.

A current curriculum vitae including information concerning teaching
experience and the names of three references should be sent to Beth Hume.
