Responsibilities:



Nuance is seeking a Speech Integration and Application Support
Specialist who possesses a solid background in application programming
and customer support.

Candidates should enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative
atmosphere that applies speech science in a commercial, result driven
and customer oriented setting.



As a Training and Support Specialist in the Embedded Professional
Services group, you will train and support customers on how to use
speech in their applications, including details of the APIs of our
VoCon3200 Speech Recognition and Vocalizer text-to-speech SDKs. You will
contribute to improvements in our training material, documentation,
sample applications, and support knowledge database from your daily work
with customers as well as through participation in professional services
projects.



Representative duties include:

* Support and train customers on our products, API's, best
practices
* Analyze problem reports from SDK users, including replicating
reported issues and connecting with the R&D department in case of an
actual problem in the products
* Assist with sample application development
* Participate in professional services projects
* Stay current on our product details
* Maintain knowledge database for embedded product support
* Provide suggestions for improvements to our embedded products
and documentation



Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Graduate University degree in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. Newly
graduated or having a few years of professional experience

- Fluent in English, both written and spoken

- Strong C/C++ programming skills

- Good software/system problem-solving skills

- ability to travel for short trips

- Strong team player, capable to work independently when needed

* Self learner, with sense of initiative, and perseverance to
deliver high quality work
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to
troubleshoot issues
* Good judgment and quick-thinking
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to scope work taking technical, business and time-frame
constraints into consideration
* Mastering Office applications



Beneficial Skills

o Experience with embedded hardware platforms, operating
systems, and software development

o knowledgeable about audio streaming technologies, real-time
protocols, codecs, signal processing

o knowledgeable about WinCe, Linux

o multi-lingual
