The Faculty of Modern Languages at Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main
invites applications for a

Full Professorship (W2) in Italian and French Linguistics

We are especially interested in candidates whose teaching and research
will focus on grammatical and functional analysis. Candidates are
expected to cooperate in both teacher training and BA/MA-curricula, and
in post-doctoral courses, and they will also be required to cooperate in
all kinds of academic exams. The successful candidate will also be
involved in teacher-training. Experience in teaching Italian and French
in schools and novel ideas regarding this topic would be welcome. He/she
will also be expected to participate in multi-disciplinary initiatives
in the field of empirical educational research.

Candidates should have excellent M.A. and PhD in hand by the time of
appointment. They should also be able to document research achievements
in prestigious national and international publications. The designated
salary for the position is based on "W2" on the German university scale
or equivalent

The advertised position is subject to the requirements set out in -- 70
and 71 of the "Hessisches Hochschulgesetz" (HHG). The successful
candidate will be required to participate in the self-government of
