Applied Linguistics

Working in an energetic and expanding subject group, you will have the ability to contribute
teaching across the discipline of English language, linguistics and specific areas of applied
linguistics. You will also have an excellent record of securing research funding and of
publication. Your research will contribute to one or more of four key areas of our research
in linguistics: Corpus Linguistics, Critical Discourse Analysis, Forensic Linguistics and
Language Education. Applicants should have a doctorate in English language, linguistics
or cognate disciplines, and experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate
