The position is part of the CASOAR project (Cha??ne d'Analyse S??mantique
des Opinions, Appr??ciations et Repr??sentations) under the RAPID-DGA
program. The project includes the LILAC group at IRIT (Toulouse) and
Synapse D??veloppement company (Toulouse). It aims at a fine-grained
analysis of opinion texts by the development of semantic and pragmatic
models that go beyond the detection of expressions of ???bag of sentiment
words???. In this context, the candidate has to :
- elaborate an annotation schema as well as an annotation guide for the
analysis of opinion expressions at the sub-sentential
level in French and in English
- develop a discourse based segmentation tool of opinion texts. Existing
segmentation tools developed at IRIT have to be adapted to take into
account the specificity of opinion texts.
- study some linguistic phenomenon.
