Dear Sir/Madam,
Lexitech is a translation agency based in Brussels and we are looking
for a trainee starting if possible in July or later on this year. We
will host graduates to spend a period of training (minimum 4 months)
within the framework of Erasmus or Leonardo program.
About us:
We provide an enormous range of services, from the translation of a
simple leaflet into a single language to the overall management of
complex multilingual projects. The trainee will learn how a
translation agency really works from the inside.
During the training period the trainee will be involved in the following tasks within our production department :
Production assistant in the management of translation projects.
Management of orders sent by international customers.
Use of the management software "Project-Open".
Translation and proofreading of little texts from English or French into their mother tongue.
Use of the translation tool "Trados".
Update of translators and client database.
What's a Project Manager?
The project managers have to follow up the translation project , from
the beginning to end. They have to choose the translator that fits the
better with the translation, guarantee that the reference documents
are going to be checked and the clients instructions are going to be
respected, answer the translator questions and take care of
deadlines. If the client have a feedback, the project manager have to
take care of it and make sure the translator has received the clients
suggestions.
It is an interesting job that changes every day. New translation
projects, new clients, new technologies...new challenges that will
certainly make the trainee mature professionally.
We invite any interested candidate to send us a CV and a short
covering letter (in English or French) by e-mail to:
stagiaire-prod1@lexitech.eu with copy to laurence@lexitech.eu
