Post Title: Ussher Lectureship in Intelligent Digital Content
Post Status: 5-year contract (Full-time)

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale in line with current government pay policy.

Post Summary
The School of Computer Science and Statistics wishes to appoint a lecturer in Intelligent Digital Content. The successful candidate will join the Knowledge and Data Engineering Research Group (KDEG) and collaborate with the Computational Linguistics Research Group in the Discipline of Intelligent Systems. KDEG is a world leading research group in the areas of dynamic digital content discovery, adaptation, personalisation and interaction. The successful candidate will also work in collaboration with the Centre for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL) – a major international research centre which combines the two research groups and focuses on the management, personalisation and delivery of multilingual web based content.
KDEG is looking for an outstanding candidate with exceptional ability, a proven track record in the research of Intelligent Digital Content and a genuine commitment to the role of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. More specifically, the successful candidate will have a record of focused research in the fields of adaptive (contextualised and personalised) information systems, semantic (text or multimedia) digital content management, data visualisation, collaborative service and dynamic analysis of user created content and social media.
The post is tenable from 1st September 2011.
