The job has specific objectives which are as follows:
Systematically develop web-based information pages about stands
and best practices in the DH, to inform the development and
management of Oxford humanities research projects with a digital
component.
Develop infrastructure for the networking of Oxford DH expertise,
including Faculty IT Support Staff; draw up a register of DH
expertise at Oxford, with information about availability for
consultation; launch an online discussion forum for sharing of
expertise and facilities, and enabling collaborative
problem-solving
Incorporate the above in the Digital.Humanities@Oxford website,
consolidating and extending the date about people and projects,
the whole to be integrated with the new Humanities Hub and
Research Data Management sites.
Promote and manage the brand Digital.Humanities@Oxford to cover
all related activities at Oxford, and coordinate on-line
publicity.
Hold workshops on advanced technology issues, related funding
calls (e.g. AHRC Digital Transformations),technology side of grant
applications (e.g. the AHRC Technical Appendix)
Develop a training programme for postgraduates in conjunction with
Division and OUCS.
Develop a plan for the ongoing sustainability for the
Digital.Humanities@Oxford site, and the activities clustered
around it, as resources jointly owned by OeRC, OUCS, the Bodleian
Libraries and the Division, the Division to play a central role.
