Pricing Analyst

Airtricity is Ireland's second largest and fastest growing energy
provider, supplying over 800,000 domestic and commercial gas,
electricity and home energy services customers in the Republic and
Northern Ireland.
At Airtricity we believe in making energy better. Around 40% of the
electricity Airtricity supplies to its customers on an island basis is
generated from renewable sources the greenest energy supply of any
provider on the island and over three times the average on an
all-island basis.
The generation of the electricity supplied to all Airtricity customers
results in 31% less CO2 emissions per MWh than the energy supplied to
the average customer on the island of Ireland. Airtricity is powered
by SSE, the third largest generation capacity owner in Ireland with
around 1,500MW in operation including 463MW of wind farm capacity
the largest renewable generation capacity on the island.
The role of Pricing Analyst is a key position within the Supply
Pricing team who develop and maintain competitive energy products and
tariffs, and also review and report on product and market sector
competitiveness and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
· Evaluate new/modified tariff opportunities and develop competitive tariff offering.
· Produce annual and other periodic tariffs with on-going reviews and reporting of profitability
of same.
· Review/report on product and market sector profitability.
· Audit and report on pricing proposals issued to customers.
· Develop computer models to support product pricing and the needs of the business.
· Continual review & analysis of models/data/assumptions to ensure appropriate
product/price delivery.
· Prepare and issue pricing proposals as necessary to support Sales.
· Audit of manual invoicing for large energy users.
· Assist Revenue Assurance with auditing of price changes.
· Assist in analysis of net costs associated with each market sector.
· Undertake other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Candidate Profile:
· Third level qualification in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Economics, Maths or
Physics or equivalent experience.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills with particular attention to detail.
· Excellent quantitative, statistical and analytical skills, with the ability to collate and present
results in a concise and professional manner.
· High proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel.
· A proven track record in working to tight deadlines.
· A flexible approach to task management, whilst working with minimal direction.
· Develop effective working relationships within the team and with other teams.
· Experience of the workings of the energy markets in an analytical position desirable but not
essential.
