The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Oxford Brookes University is
looking for strong candidates to apply for *three full-time Ph.D.
studentships*. The successful candidates will receive an annual stipend of
£14,000 for three years beginning in January 2016.

One of the research areas for which interested candidates are invited to
apply is *Communication, Media & Culture* (
http://www.history.brookes.ac.uk/Research/Communication-Media-and-Culture/).
Our programme team offers a range of areas of expertise, including:

- corpus linguistics and big data
- cultural studies of software
- environmental communication and ecolinguistics

Applicants would normally be expected either to have completed, or to be in
the process of completing, an MA degree, or non-UK equivalent.

The closing date for applications is 1:00 PM, Wednesday 4th November 2015.
