*Description *
The Microsoft Natural Language Experiences team is looking for a talented
Computational Linguist/Project Co-ordinator interested in applying
computational linguist understanding to innovate, design, build, and
evaluate next-generation natural language solutions for our productivity
software.

We use state-of-the art computational linguistic tools and techniques to
deliver exciting natural language technologies for millions of customers
across the globe, in areas such as proofing, statistical language
modelling, e-mail prioritization, named entity recognition, and more.

*Responsibilities:*
• Work with engineering and other PM peers to achieve targeted business
goals
• Drive communication, partner engagements and manage expectations with
internal and external customers and vendors
• Leverage an understanding of our existing business, the competitive
landscape and the broader set of investments of the team to help inform
decisions concerning which features/enhancements our team should make

*Required qualifications:*
• BA or BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics,
Linguistics or related field.
• Strong understanding of applied Computational Linguistics, Linguistics or
related technical field.
• Detail-oriented, results-driven, with strong cross-group collaboration
and communication skills.
• Creativity, customer focus, and passion for quality
• Minimum one year experience in quality assurance or experimental design
for language/computational linguistics projects
• Minimum one year experience in two of the following:

o Using an object-oriented programming language (C++ or C#)
o Using scripting languages (Python, Java, or Perl)
o Developing or managing technical projects in multiple languages
o Managing vendors working in multiple languages
*Preferred qualifications:*
• Proficiency in a language other than English.
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral
• Strong cross-team collaboration skills with demonstrable successes
• Great design and problem solving skills
• Solid experience as owner of one or more feature areas, and product
shipping experience
