Greetings Professor Vogel!

My name is Jasna Rustempasic, I am the Global Recruiter at Appen,
language technology firm.

I came across your contact information while searching online to find
qualified candidates for a couple of our new roles. I am reaching out
with hope that you could help me out by recommending qualified
candidates or spreading the word among students, alumni or any other
group with members who may be qualified.

We are looking for native UK speakers with degree in computer science,
electrical engineering or similar fields and familiarity with Java,
perl and shell scripting. The successful candidate will have strong
aptitude towards language and natural language processing.

Our other role requires native UK English language skills and academic
background in linguistics with strong accent on phonetics. Ideal
candidate will have ability to write basic scripts in Python, must be
comfortable with Linux tools such as Bash, Git and Grep.

Both opportunities require candidate's availability to travel to USA
for the initial training (3-4 weeks).
