The Role: Irish English Computational Linguist/Natural Language Engineer

We are looking for a Linguist/Language Engineer to work on voice recordings and audio corpora.

Start date: asap

Location: US Onsite for a few weeks + remote work for 4 to 6 months

Key Qualifications
• Solid understanding of phonetic notation such as IPA, SAMPA or CMU
• Ability to phonetically transcribe audio / speech accurately as well as verify accuracy of existing phonetic transcriptions
• Irish English native speaker with high degree of familiarity with local people, place names and other frequent local terms
• Very good communication skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage priorities are essential

Requirements
Availability to travel for initial training and bring-up phase

Education
University level degree in Linguistics or Computational Linguistics (or equivalent experience)
