The Social Cognitive Systems group (headed by Prof. Dr. Stefan Kopp;
Cluster of Excellence Cognitive Interaction Technology, Bielefeld
University, Germany) is currently looking for a PhD-student in a
research project investigating strategies for human–robot-interaction,
with a focus on generation of multimodal spoken dialogue behaviour.

Applicants should have a masters degree in computer science or
(computational) linguistics with a focus on machine learning,
statistical methods in natural language processing, and/or dialogue
modelling and should have strong communication skills and be motivated
to work in an interdisciplinary team of computer scientists,
psychologists, engineers, and designers.

The position is fully paid (TV-L 13) with funding for three years. The
