Carstairs-McCarthy, "The Origins of Complex Language: An Inquiry into
the Evolutionary Beginnings of Sentences, Syllables and Truth."
Oxford University Press. 1999. are available outside my office for
the coming Wednesday's Mahaffy's Reading Group (still on the summer
6pm schedule, with the proviso that if it's unambiguously warm and
sunny we'll be at the pav instead)
